This 2 day weekend program is designed as a primer for those who are planning a northern adventure. We'll cover all the basics of whitewater paddling for northern trips in addition to review northern camping techniques. Great for those of you who are planning your own northern trip or for those who are joining one of our trips. Participants who have signed up for one of our northern trips this year receive 25% off.
Itinerary:
Saturday: Palmer Rapids
We'll spend the day paddling and reviewing whitewater techniques at Palmer Rapids
Sunday: Lower Madawaska (Snake Rapids) or Palmer.
On Sunday we would plan to paddle the Snake Rapids section of the Lower Madawaska. This is a fun enjoyable section of the river that contains about 8 wonderful class 2 rapids. We'll spend the day on this section of river paddling and practicing.
Your fee includes lunches on both days, canoes, paddles, PFD and instruction.
We would expect to be done about 4pm on Sunday
Meeting::
We'll meet at 9am Saturday morning at Palmer Rapids.
Our instructors will be camped out at Jessops Farm (beside the rapids).
Accommodation & Meals:
You are responsible for your own accommodation/tenting and meals (we do lunches so that means you should bring 2 breakfasts for yourself . We'll likely all go ...

You are responsible for your own accommodation/tenting and meals (we do lunches so that means you should bring 2 breakfasts for yourself . We'll likely all go out for dinner at a local restaurant on Saturday night).
Our staff will be camped out at Jessops Campground.
(Jessops is on the west side of the river across from the public access. Go north on River Rd W and follow signs to the right to Jessops)
You can camp out at the Jessops farm campground beside the rapids. (bring your tent or we can rent you one $25 for the two nights if you let us know to bring one for you)
