Introductory Arctic Outdoor Adventure
If you've ever dreamed of a canoe and camping trip in the arctic this is the ideal way to give it a try. We've planned a great one week adventure with a couple nights at a remote northern lodge and 4 nights out canoeing and camping on a series of stunning lakes north of the Arctic Circle.
Paddling and camping in the arctic can be truly stunning. The rugged treeless landscape offers fantastic opportunities for walking, hiking and exploration from almost all campsites. Flora and fauna viewing is great! Caribou, Musk Ox, Arctic Wolves, Fox, raptors such as Gyre Falcons, and a host of other species may all be seen. In the heat of the summer sun, wildflowers and arctic plants flourish and bloom with the long summer daylight. At some campsites archeological evidence such as ancient tent rings, fire pits, food caches or stone tools may be seen. This will be a relaxed pace trip with lots of time to enjoy this amazing environment. If you like to fish, the opportunities are world class!

We'll meet you in Yellowknife. From there we will fly by charter plane into a remote northern lodge, where we will spend a relaxing afternoon and evening. The following morning we'll load ourselves, gear and canoes into float planes and travel north to a stunning waterway north of the Arctic Circle. Here we will spend 5 days, 4 nights, paddling, hiking, fishing and relaxing in this pristine environment. On day 5 we will be met by float plane and taken back to the lodge for a final evening and banquet. The next morning our charter planes will return you to Yellowknife.
